Elbow Cay was very isolated until the Marsh Harbour Airport was built in 1959. Residents survived by fishing, trading, and salvage of ships wrecked on Elbow Reef. It is also home to the famous Breadfruit Tree planted by Captain William Bligh in the 1700’s. On your half day exploration, walk and shop the narrow streets of Hope Town, tour the lighthouse, and find lunch at the Hope Town Inn, Wine Down Sip-Sip, or maybe the Hope Town Harbour Lodge.
